Terms of Use

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These are the rules for using FoxShade Fix It's website and help. By using the website or asking us for help, you agree to them. Please read them — they are short.

Our advice is given as-is

Our answers, guides and Fix It Fox (our automated AI helper) give general tech advice. We try hard to get it right, but advice can be wrong, out of date, or not fit your exact device. Fix It Fox is a computer program, not a person, and it can make mistakes.

Back up first, then follow at your own risk

  • Before you change settings, reset, update or delete anything, back up your photos, contacts and files.
  • You decide whether to follow our steps. You follow them at your own risk.
  • If a step doesn't match what you see, stop and ask a real person.

Safety

  • If a device is swollen, very hot, smoking, sparking or smells like burning, stop using it, unplug it and keep it away from things that can burn. Call 911 if there is a fire or someone is hurt.
  • Don't open batteries or power supplies, and don't charge a device that got wet until it is dry.
  • Never share passwords, PINs or one-time codes with anyone — including us.

Rules for remote help

  • Stay at your device and watch the whole time we help you.
  • Never tell us your passwords, PINs or codes. When one is needed, you type it yourself.
  • You can stop the help at any time.
  • We don't make house visits. All help is by phone, text, email or remote help.

No warranty

Our website and help are given "as is" and "as available." As far as the law allows, we don't promise that our advice will fix your problem, that it is free of mistakes, or that the website will always work.

Limit of our responsibility

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for lost data, damaged devices, or other losses that come from using our website or advice. If we are found responsible for anything, the most we will owe you is the amount you paid us for the help in question. For free help, that amount is $0. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Using the website fairly

Please don't misuse the website — for example, by sending spam, trying to break it, or using Fix It Fox for anything harmful or illegal. We may block anyone who does.

Trademarks

Apple, iPhone, Samsung, Android, Windows and other names are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to say which devices we help with. FoxShade Fix It is independent and not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of these companies.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA. If there is a problem, please email us first — most things can be fixed with a quick conversation.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. Questions? Email us at [email protected]. See also our Privacy Policy.
